Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 11 June 2026
These terms apply to every offer and to every order placed through this webshop. The seller is Stichting International Tax Center Leiden (ITC Leiden), Rapenburg 65, 2311 GJ Leiden, The Netherlands — KvK 27169660, VAT NL8097.23.207.B01, phone +31 (0)71 751 01 30. They are based on the Dutch General Conditions for distance selling (AV ITC/TW); the key points are summarised below.
1. Definitions
- Seller — ITC Leiden, identified above.
- Customer / consumer — the person placing an order who is not acting in the course of a profession or business.
- Order — your accepted offer to buy one or more products.
- Reflection period — the 14‑day window in which a consumer may withdraw from the purchase.
2. Products and orders
Product descriptions and images are as accurate as we can reasonably make them; obvious errors do not bind us. A contract is formed once you accept an offer and complete checkout, and we confirm your order by email. We may decline an order, with reasons, where we have good grounds to do so.
3. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown excluding VAT; the applicable Dutch VAT (currently 9% on publications) and a €10.25 administration fee are added at checkout. Shipping is calculated by destination and weight. The full total, including all taxes and fees, is always shown before you confirm and pay.
EU business customers with a valid VAT number may qualify for the reverse‑charge mechanism (VAT zero‑rated, accounted for by the customer). Orders shipped outside the EU are zero‑rated as exports. Prices will not rise after your order except where a change in statutory VAT rates requires it.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Mollie (e.g. iDEAL, card). Your order is confirmed once payment succeeds. You must tell us promptly of any error in the payment details you provide.
5. Delivery
Orders are shipped via DHL to the address you provide. We aim to ship accepted orders promptly and at the latest within 30 days unless a longer period is agreed. If we cannot deliver in time, we will tell you, and you may cancel free of charge for a full refund. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery.
6. Right of withdrawal (returns)
As an EU consumer you generally have a 14‑day right of withdrawal. See our Returns page for the cooling‑off period, exceptions, and how to exercise it.
7. Conformity and warranty
We guarantee that products conform to the contract, to the description, and to the reasonable requirements of reliability and usefulness, and to the legal rules in force on the date of the contract. Any commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law. Subject to that, our liability is limited to what the law allows for the supply of the products you ordered.
9. Complaints
Please send complaints about an order to us with a clear description and your order reference. We acknowledge complaints within 14 days and aim to resolve them promptly. See our Contact page for how to reach us.
10. Governing law and disputes
Dutch law applies exclusively to these terms and to any contract between us. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
